Haircuts for Stories

A special live event turns a haircut into an experience: On our Plaza, art, literature, and craftsmanship come together – inspired by the exhibition “HAIR – STORIES OF POWER AND PASSION” at the neighboring Kunsthalle München.

Dates:

April 9, 2026, 12-6 p.m. – Children read for their haircut

April 13, 2026, 12–6 p.m. – Adults read for their haircut

Munich-based hairstylist Danny Beuerbach brings his unique concept to us: Anyone who reads aloud receives a free haircut. For this initiative, he has been honored with the German Reading Prize. Children and adults alike become part of an interactive cultural exchange.

The books needed are provided by the Hugendubel bookstore in the FÜNF HÖFEN. The event brings generations together, promotes reading, and brings the cultural significance of hair to life in a creative way.
