In mid-August 2021, the stylish alpine South Tyrolean fashion label Luis Trenker will open its Munich flagship store inside the Viscardihof of FÜNF HÖFE.

Luis Trenker (1892-1990), eponym of the cool South Tyrolean cult label, was a mountaineer, director, novelist and film star. And he was an extraordinary, dazzling and multifaceted personality. And so is the fashion brand: unique and unmistakable, as classic as it is extravagant, but always colourful and different. In short: an Alpine original.

Luis Trenker Fashion Munich: Alpine charm and adventure

At the Luis Trenker flagship store in Munich, you can find everything you can think of in terms of clothing and accessories for men and women: From shoes and stockings to trousers, skirts, dresses, shirts, polos and shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and pullovers, waistcoats, jackets and coats to eye-catchers like belts, scarves, caps and hats. And there are always capsule collections dedicated to a special theme: ski collections have been part of the Luis Trenker product range – and currently, in keeping with Munich, there is a traditional costume capsule in collaboration with GottseiDank.

The label was founded in 1995 by Michi Klemera in Bolzano. The philosophy behind the collections: Luis Trenker makes fashion for women who go their own way, fashion that dresses the body and shapes the soul. And fashion for men who embrace adventure, individuality and true values. The collections are always inspired by the love of the special, the courage to be extraordinary and the desire for adventure. Luis Trenker combines alpine charm and southern temperament. Add to this a touch of Great Britain, tradition and modern lifestyle – from the Alps to the whole world. And also to us in Munich.

At Luis Trenker, innovative ideas are combined with traditional craftsmanship. The collections are almost exclusively manufactured in the EU, 70 percent in Italy. The ethical standards are just as high as the aesthetic ones. The label uses the finest fabrics, leather and a lot of passion.

Luis Trenker brand ambassador: Thomas Gottschalk

Brand ambassador of the Luis Trenker brand since 2020 is the German TV star Thomas Gottschalk. Luis Trenker was already an idol for Gottschalk in his childhood, and for 23 years he has also been a self-confessed fan of the South Tyrolean fashion label. “When I got to know Luis Trenker as Michi Klemera’s new fashion label in the 90s, I was just as enthusiastic about the idiosyncratic collection as I was about its namesake. Fashion that is outside the ordinary has always fascinated me,” says the presenter and entertainer.
